I leave you with this 9 second Ford Falcon XR8 UTE. The guy who owns it dropped in a 5.0L coyote V8 with a 4.2L kenne bell LC twin screw. Apparently its the quickest modular powered vehicle down under.

That pulley looks really big. How much/little boost is he running ?

I think I just learned I have a thing for purple UTEs.

good question, I'll try to find out. All I know is its a custom 10 rib pulley.

If only.....If only it were street legal.

just looked in the thread, he said on the dyno it was 20.5psi and 841rwhp. I don't know how current that is.

If you put a CAI on a car down under its no longer road legal

Just a Cold Air Intake? That's strict as fuck.

I guess the massive size makes tons of boost instead of using rpm. It's probably super efficient.

Yeah when you have a blower larger than most engines you don't need a 3" pulley to get massive power.

Thats a little stretch but honestly they have some really bullshit car laws. Lowering a car is the biggest way to get pulled over. I know someone down there with a EF fairlane that he lowered an inch and he gets pulled over constantly for it.
In the US, this UTE would totally be street legal.

That is some straight buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuulllshit right there man, damn!

That's incredibly stupid. What harm does lowering actually do to the point where it's against the law? Wow, I'm glad America hasn't fallen that far into nomodification.

isn't the coyote not part of the modular family?
![]() 04/20/2014 at 21:42 |

Well if his dick was in there all the time, wouldn't that make them Pee-nuts?

Its the next generation of modulars. No you can't pop coyote heads on a 4.6 2v, but yes it is a "modular" engine, so is the 6.2L.

beats me man, for a country who has such a rich automotive culture with big v8 bruisers, its always shocked me that they have such strict laws. I won't say more before this turns into a political debate lol

Haha, for all those V8 Lustmobiles i would expect slightly more.

It's not that black & white. The laws state something along the lines of if it is boxed it is okay because you aren't making any more noise through it.
